Specialist Redaction Services

Access to Records is challenging for all organisations, but especially Children and Adults Social Care.

 

The contents of some files can be challenging to read and process, in the worst case can leaving staff  traumatised and emotional. 

With 20 years experience of working within Social Care, including high profile historical child abuse enquiries. We have managed and processed a significant number of requests from clients as well from police officers and other third parties investigating all levels of crimes involving social care clients, both past and present.

You will be provided a full set of original files, a [re redacted version in case or queries and a copy for  the requestor. 

All files are redacted within Adobe. If you provide files as email messages these will need to be  converted individually if not provided in PDF format. Whilst We use the OCR and search function for  some information, We only use this as a guide, due to risks, of mis‐spelt data and context. All pages are  reviewed manually.

We provide Data Controllers a cost effective, balanced and unbiased response to Social Care Access  requests, balancing the best interest of the children against the wants of those with Parental  Responsibilities. 

We can process large amounts of data within a short timescale, averaging up to 800 pages of modern (typed) data a day and about 600 historical handwritten pages in line with ICO requirements. If you require heavier redaction this may take a little longer

We also provide a full Managed Information Governance Service including scanning of paper files and management of requests to Schools further details are available on request.
